We look at the fixtures of this week’s Champions League action: It was the 6th week of the competition, meaning the end of the group phase. Tuesday’s blockbuster was the game between FC Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, which ended with a comfortable 2-0 win for the Bavarian side. Another interesting game was Liverpool’s encounter against Naples after their 4-0 match one month ago. This time it was the Reds that came out as victors, winning the game with 2-0 thanks to goals from Mo Salah and Darwin Núñez. The most interesting football game of the day turned out to be sporting vs. Frankfurt, where Sporting were leading 1-0 early into the game, just to lose it 1-2 in the end against the brilliant Frankfurt. This secured the 2nd place on the table for Eintracht, and lead to Sporting’s elimination of the competition.
Wednesday didn’t bring us any surprises. All the big teams, like Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, AC Milan, Chelsea, PSG, Benfica and Manchester city won their game against their underdog opponents.
