Champions League: Week 5

This week’s Champions League action did not bring as much surprise as the previous week, apart from RB Leipzig’s win against Real Madrid. Tuesday’s blockbuster game turned out to be the encounter between Benfica and Juventus, which ended with a 4-3 win for the team from Lisbon. After a strong 3-1 Benfica lead at half-time, it turned really interesting when Juventus made the 4-3 through McKennie’s goal.

On Wednesday, obviously, the most anticipated game was taking place in Barcelona, where the home team played against FC Bayern Munich. In the end, it turned out to be an easy 3-0 win for the Bavarian side. This result sealed the fate of FC Barcelona, which got relegated to the Europe League. Maybe the best game of the evening was Eintracht Frankfurt’s 2-1 win against Olympique Marseille.
